        <![CDATA[ -2 when we got up to frozen pipes and no furnace. Seems that it also froze. Been out every couple of hours to make sure the horse as drinking water and not
ice. First bucketfull this morning was drunk down at once. She must have had her fill cause there&#39;s still water under the skim ice in the bucket. Giving
her a little extra hay to munch on too. Finally got heat around 10ish, but with it being forced hot air, it chills down right quick after it shuts off.. Water
was back on a little... ]]>

			<description><![CDATA[ It has been reallllly cold here also. We have had so much snow this year we were running out of places to put it. Then we had a little thaw that turned
everything into muck. Then...more snow. Yesterday it was so nice!! I stayed up after work and mucked the horse stall and took the horses blankets off. My horse
is so thin. I have fed him but he is losing weight. The vet will be here today to look at him. Hope it is just a feed problem..like maybe a good float will
help him. The horses and... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Next month here, farmers begin getting their fields ready for planting.

They had a real tough time getting the soy beans in the ground this winter because of too much rain.

Soon corn, beans, and other cool weather crops will be planted.

I look forward to February...............Spring comes a wee bit sooner in the south, but we still have late freezes and frosts that can bite back all the
plants and crops.

Yesterday at 0730 in the morning it was -2°.  All the chickens waterers were frozen, even those with heaters under them. Had to carry buckets of water from the
spiket on the side of the house to the coop. Than the pond was frozen except for and area around the pump. I keep the pump running so that the ducks have some
UN-frozen area to swim... ]]></description>
