			<description><![CDATA[ I have 6 new layers.. they are about 5 1/2 months old, just starting to lay.    3 brahmas 3 RI Reds,  one of the reds layed about a week and half ago.  one egg one day..then 2 days later another.   now a week has gone by and no more eggs..  I let them out in the yard on Thursday... RI red is standing in the middle of the yard..  looking like she is gonna lay right there,  My daughter and I are watching here.. and low and behold she does.!!  right there for us to see..  but.. it's a soft... ]]></description>

Saw one of my California whites in the coop acting confused but getting the job done.  Almost there and on 3 separate occasions, 3 of my older girls, dif breeds even, went into the coop and started tearing her up.  After she finally got the egg out, she came out with feathers missing all over her head and a bloody comb. I went in twice and actually pulled a hen off the poor little girl. I have also hatched out some eggs out of a incubator and now fixing to hatch some guingea eggs. Just waiting on them to hatch. I have all kinds of chickens. 			<description><![CDATA[ Hi new to the board, which I must say is very nice and will take alot of reading to learn here.<br>anyway  I have this dittlely lit 3 egg incubator thing that now this is the second time tring my hand at hatching eggs in it. 1st time was a no go.  Now I think I read somewhere that it takes 28 days  and today is the day. 1 egg has one little speck like maybe a beak is just coming thru barely.
