Killing animals may break law

Vigilantism is alive in the Hudson Valley -- at least for animals.

A Dover man was arrested last month and charged with fatally shooting a dog with a shotgun and dragging it into a ditch. The man claimed the dog was attacking his livestock.

State police in Dover said the dog was a significant distance from the man's farm animals when it was shot.

our province just indroduced a pitt bull ban.
those that currently own one can keep it..if it is spayed/neutered, muzzled at all times outside of the house, registered, microchipped...if not, they will be euthanised.

once officially passed, one cannot acquire new ones, breed them, recieve one as a gift.....etc....if so, they will be euthanised.

does anyone else have this law in their state/city?
