			<title><![CDATA[ Last for this year and a question ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ Well my Silkie hen hatched out 2 out of 10 eggs, My bator hatched 2 out of 4 eggs.  The rest were not fertile.  <br><br>The hen is now taking care of all 4 silkie chicks , 3 splash, 1 blue or black.  <br><br>This is the second set of eggs I have puchased that has had a very low fertility rate. 			<description><![CDATA[ Hi.. I just received my duck eggs that I had mailed to me... my problem (never had this happen before) is... they are dirty... they have ducky stuff (poo) on them... they are not totally dirty... just some on each of them.  I have never had this problem..  and I know that they have a protectective coating on them ~~Bloom~~  and I remember hearing that you can't clen them or it will damage their ability to retain moisture too...as well as keep the bacteria out of the egg.  What do you thing... ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Candling eggs ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ What does it mean when you candle the eggs and the air cell has a line going up the side of the egg?  It is like the air cell is spreading up the side of the egg.  Is that normal?  I thought that the air cells were always round. Maybe smaller or larger round, but round.  The temp is right in the incubator, the humidity is right,  I just don't understand what it could be. ]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[ Chick Treats ]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[ I have buff orpingtons and Australorps just a few weeks old.  They eat their chick feed while in the coop, plus forage around the yard constantly.<br><br>My daughter and I like to hold them each for at least a little while every day so they'll be friendly and easy to handle as they grow up (and because it's fun).  <br><br>I'd like to give them a special treat while I'm holding them that they don't get at any other time. 			<description><![CDATA[ I have four new silkie chicks. A white, partridge, and I think two blue splash. I need one of each to be a hen. What's the odds?? Not very good. They are cute though. I only had four of 12 hatch. Some had bubbles from shipping and some were quitters at different stages of devlopment. One young hen broke the shell on the only black egg I had. That was sad.<br><br>I have three hens sharing the chicks. They run back and forth between Mommies. They prefer the hen that sat on them last. I keep... ]]></description>

I have no idea how I get so many dang partridge chicks. I swore they would all be from the black or blue hens but...guess I was wrong. They hatched fine. Foot feathering and toe seperation are marvelous. I know at least one has a high vault! I am praying the one partridge is from the splash partridge mating.... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ We have 2 pair of silkies and we had to add a Blue Cochin hen and a Porcelain hen after they were getting picked on in another pen. The 6 chickens have been together for quite awhile, and sitting on the eggs is always a joint venture between the 4 hens. The last two attempts have been successful, but the babies have died for one reason or another. <br><br>Well, after my son stopped gathering eggs from in there (scared of the roos), the hens started sitting and hubby let them try... ]]></description>
