Hi! I'm a newbie when it comes to raising chickens, but one of our layers died yesterday, and I'm a little concerned about another chicken which is
pretty lethargic today. Here's what happened:
The Rhode Island Red hen got sick in the morning, laid down all day, and then died in the late afternoon. When I first looked at her in the morning, her comb
was floppy (it normally was erect) and she was not active as she normally is, but other than that seemed fine (no labored...

I have an almost 8 year old Mille Fleur Bantam rooster named Bopsy. He lives in his house with his brother Bipsy. Bopsy used to be extremmely active and
crazy. Over the last month or so he has become very quiet. No obvious signs of illness. When he crows it is shortened in sound and he has very bad frost bite

Hey guys, help me out as I am too tired to think right now. I have a huddling dehydrated hen. They have been super broody all summer without a hatch. She
has bright green poo and hasn't been eating grass. Her poo is sticky and solid though. I am giving her boiled eggs and yogurt and trying to get some fluids
in her. It really sucks that I am a nurse and can do IVs but have no idea how to do it on a chicken. A fluid bolus would help her out. I do believe she is
getting up there in years...

I am hoping someone can shed light on why Gabby my gosling passed away a week ago. I am new to keeping poultry, so am really keen to know if it is something I
did or didn't do or something that could be prevented in the future. We only had Gabby for 2 weeks. Gabby was hand-reared. We kept her in a box inside with
sawdust, and took her out in the garden for walks! The water was in a bowl changed 1-2 times a day and she wasn't cleaned out religiously, but when it
looked too much...

They actually are some of my best and fluffiest. They will eat if I hand feed them but if I don't stay right on them they won't and they die. I wonder if they are just not as hardy so the others bully them until they get weak enough for me to notice?
